On November 7, the FCC—in a relatively terse Public Notice—announced that it would hold a Forum at its headquarters on November 30 designed to focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning by having experts in AI and machine learning discuss the future of these technologies and their implications for the communications marketplace.

On November 20, the FCC released its agenda for the Forum, which will consist of AI demonstrations, a welcome from the FCC Chief Technology Officer and two separate panels.

IBM, Microsoft, CTA and Nokia, among other organizations, are scheduled to speak about where AI is today and where it is going. Each of the panels is to be moderated by FCC Chairman Ajit Pai.
